Founded in 2012, FIK Ubaya offers three accredited bachelor’s programs—Product Design & Management, Fashion & Lifestyle Product Design, and Visual Communication Design—all certified by BAN‑PT and AUN‑QA . Its Fashion & Lifestyle Product Design (DFP) curriculum integrates creative design with industry collaboration, empowering students to develop market‑ready product lines while building entrepreneurial and sustainable mindsets.
Sustainability is woven into FIK Ubaya’s teaching and community engagement. In 2024–25, students won top prizes in upcycling competitions, turning discarded garments into fashionable, wearable pieces—such as “Si Panji” in Heritage Trendversity and a Retro‑Y2K costume that placed second at the Asian Student Fashion Week. The faculty also promotes cultural and ecological learning, hosting workshops on ikat celup and shibori dyeing using local materials, and experimenting with felt‑craft using recycled flannel.
