Downstream Manufacturer

Sritex—established in 1966 in Solo and headquartered in Central Java—is one of Indonesia’s largest fully integrated textile and garment manufacturers. Operating across spinning, weaving, printing, dyeing, and garmenting under one roof, the company is renowned for its high-quality fabrics and export markets, including military-grade uniforms for NATO and global retail clients.

Underpinning its Indonesian heritage, Sritex embeds sustainability into every stage of its production. With around 70% renewable raw materials used as early as 2018, it has adopted an energy-management system aligned with ISO 50001 and the “Green Industry” standard, reducing energy intensity to 0.143 GJ per garment and lowering emissions intensity by about 90% year-over-year.

Wastewater from production is fully treated via WTPP/IPAL to meet quality standards before discharge, and solid waste is partially recycled—with the rest managed responsibly.
Indonesia's textile legacy

Legacy of Responsible Production

Despite recent financial challenges and restructuring, Sritex’s sustainable operations and commitment to social responsibility reflect its longstanding role in Indonesia’s textile journey.

Emphasizing people, planet, and profit, Sritex measures success via CSR performance—not just financial returns—by integrating social and environmental responsibility into decision-making.

Certified under ISO 14001:2015, the Indonesian Minister of Environment’s Proper rating, and NATO audit certifications—underscoring international compliance and environmental stewardship.

Sritex actively promotes inclusion: in compliance with Indonesian law, it employs persons with disabilities, collaborates with local social foundations (e.g., Sehati), and provides training and income opportunities in garment-related skills.

Adoption of ISO 50001 energy management reduced energy intensity (0.143 GJ per garment) and cut emissions intensity by nearly 90% year-on-year, aligning with Indonesia’s GHG reduction goals.

Operating a comprehensive WTPP/IPAL system that treated 100% of production wastewater to regulatory standards; solid waste is reused where possible and disposed responsibly.
