RTL Members Bring Sustainable Fashion to French School Jakarta Christmas Market

Jakarta, December 13, 2024 – Rantai Tekstil Lestari (RTL) proudly joined the festive spirit at the Christmas Market hosted by French School Jakarta (FSJ). The event showcased a diverse range of eco-friendly and ethically crafted products from RTL members, offering visitors the chance to explore sustainable fashion and textiles in a joyful holiday atmosphere.

Thoughtful Present to Celebrate Festive Holiday

This event was a wonderful opportunity for the public to discover unique sustainable fashion items, handcrafted accessories, and textiles, while also engaging with the stories and creative journeys behind each product. Visitors were able to connect directly with creators and learn how their work contributes to more responsible and ethical fashion practices.

RTL members who participated included:

  • APR x Wiska – presenting holiday-themed towels made of rayon viscose.

  • Edith House – offering ready-to-wear fashion crafted with natural dyes, batik prints, and natural fibers.

  • Spark Fashion Academy – featuring student-made products designed with natural fibers and natural dyes.

  • Torajamelo – showcasing traditional handwoven fabrics (tenun) made by local communities.

  • KaIND – displaying elegant scarves from natural fabrics dyed with natural dyes.

Reflecting on the experience, the participating members collectively shared:

“Being part of this Christmas Market was truly special for us. It gave us the chance to introduce sustainable fashion to a wider audience in a warm, festive atmosphere. We are grateful to meet people who appreciate the story behind our products — from natural dyes to traditional weaving — and we hope this inspires more conscious choices in everyday life.”
