One Year Review

For RTL, nn annual board meeting is a key governance mechanism where an organization’s leadership evaluates past initiatives, reviews performance, and sets strategic priorities for the future. It also provides an important forum for transparency and accountability, ensuring that members, advisors, and stakeholders are aligned with the mission and vision of the organization. This annual gathering is particularly vital, as it unites diverse perspectives from industry experts, sustainability advocates, and institutional partners in shaping the roadmap for Indonesia’s sustainable textile and fashion ecosystem.

Hosted at the KEHATI Foundation (Yayasan KEHATI), one of RTL’s founding members, the meeting was held in an atmosphere that underscored the importance of sustainability and biodiversity. KEHATI has long been recognized as a leading environmental foundation in Indonesia, dedicated to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Its role as a founding member of RTL reflects the strong connection between environmental stewardship and the advancement of a responsible textile and fashion supply chain. Through its expertise, KEHATI brings ecological perspectives that complement industry-driven sustainability goals.

Among the participants was Svida Alisjahbana, an RTL Honorary Member, who emphasized the importance of long-term collaboration to strengthen Indonesia’s fashion supply chain. Her insights underscored RTL’s continued commitment to supporting sustainable and inclusive growth within the national textile and fashion ecosystem.

The journey of a fashion product from supply chain to consumer is extensive. With institutional support, the Indonesian fashion industry aims to inspire progress towards sustainability, ensuring that the future of fashion not only thrives economically but also respects people and the planet.
